Use auto select mode or drag and drop the vob file's you want to rip. Use auto select to select the movie automaticly. The file's will be decrypted and encoded. Don't forget to open te DVD with you're DVD player
Fill in the length of the movie in order to calculate the video bitrate. Also select the sound type you want in your divx. Use stereo as default. Ac3 is only recommended for double cd's and systems with an soundcard which support multi channel audio.
Select the number of cd's you want to use for you're divx. Select PAL or NTSC depending on your television. Select the recommend frame rate (auto select movie) to ensure sync.
Select an Aspect Ratio, for help look at the website on the resolution page. Click on the preview button to get a preview of the selected aspect ratio.
Select a directory to save the files in by double clicking on the directory. Makes sure there is enough free hard disk space. The movie will be placed in the map cd1 (and cd2 for double cd option) in the selected directory. The temporary files including the .vob files will be placed in the map easydivx_vob.
Select the languages which you want to use. Multilanguage only work with mp3 audio. If the program is not able to open the .ifo file multilanguage will not work. Select subtitles if you need them, but keep in mind that it can reduce video quality because of lower a bit rate.
Select the codec you want to use. Select Divx 3.11 VKI for a good quality and relative fast encoding. Select Divx 4 2-pass for the best quality but a long encoding time (approximately 1.5 to 2.0 times Divx 3.11 VKI). Note the Divx 3.11 VKI was the codec used before.
Please note that Easydivx only starts a number of other program to back up youÆre DVD. It doesnÆt do anything itself it is just an interface. The credits therefore goes to the people who have written these programs.
